🪦 Say farewell to these standbys:
Hatoba: This Navy Yard ramen joint by the Daikaiya Group just closed, taking its much loved tomato ramen with it.
Truxton Inn Cocktail Bar: This classy cocktail bar closed last week after six years. But the owners say they’ll be back in the space soon.
👋 Welcome these newcomers:
Saha: Michelin-starred Albi is adding a cocktail and dessert den that only seats 18 people. Go for the Arak service; stay for the tahini soft serve.
Q Street: Hank’s Oyster Bar on Q Street NW is opening a secret garden bar for tiki drinks, giant shareable mules, and summer spritz.
Mahal: An Afro-Filipino Mahal BBQ is popping up on Maketto’s rooftop starting this Friday and then Thursday-Saturday throughout the summer. Think smoked chicken, bibingka cornbread, and ginger pudding.
Kyojin Sushi: This sultry sushi spot is coming to Cady’s Alley in Georgetown on June 27. There’ll be imported fish, Izakaya, and lots of sake.
