The National Gallery of Art has apologized for removing a visitor with a disability for violating the museum’s bag policy. The visitor had a spinal injury that made it impossible to follow the museum policy of wearing bags on one shoulder and refused to let the gallery check the bag because they said it held life-saving medications.
