DC Police enforce kids' curfew
August 18, 2023
Hey, D.C.! Take a gander at the biggest flops of all time at D.C.’s newest attraction – the Museum of Failure. The exhibit is a graveyard of more than 130 commercial duds like Colgate’s Beef Lasagna or Harley-Davidson Cologne, mmm delicious. Opens in Georgetown from Sept. 8 - Dec. 10.

What's CITY Talking About?
D.C.’s Curfew For Kids
The city will start enforcing a juvenile curfew in designated areas. MPD officers will patrol seven initial focus areas in an attempt to address the increase in juvenile crime and violence. The curfew applies to anyone 17 and under from 11:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. Sunday to Thursday and 12:01 a.m. - 6:00 a.m. on weekends. [X / City Cast DC 🎧]
Dan Snyder Under Investigation
Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) is calling for the Department of Justice to investigate former Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder for lying under oath. A previous testimony by Snyder directly contradicts the NFL’s independent review into allegations of sexual harassment and fraud [WTOP]

DCA Makeover
A new project aims to revamp Reagan National Airport to ease congestion brought on by an increase in travelers. The proposal would improve signage, create more parking, and reroute busy roads. But don’t hold your breath, if approved, the project would be completed in 2032. [WTOP]
Suicide Hotline Overwhelmed in DC
Due to long wait times, 35% of calls made to D.C.’s crisis hotline between April and May were redirected outside the District. That makes it much harder for specialists to locate nearby services for callers in crisis. Before launching the 988 hotline a year ago, public health officials had flagged concerns about staff shortages. [Axios]
