What's CITY Talking About?

Student E-Cigs Use Doubles

The use of electronic cigarettes and marijuana has nearly doubled for students in Prince William County compared to before the pandemic. Several other school systems in the area have reported similar trends. Additionally, Prince George’s County Public Schools just got $2.3 million from a legal settlement with Juul over the company’s harmful marketing. It will use it to fight youth vaping. Anacostia Swim Postponed (Again)

Officials had to delay the Anacostia River public swim event yet again, this time because of severe weather on Saturday. It’s the second time this event has been postponed. The last delay was because storms caused a sewage overflow into the river. The event should be rescheduled for the spring. [City Cast DC 🎧]

Cleaning Parks to Fight Crime

Councilmember Janeese Lewis-George is proposing a bill to create a brand new D.C. office responsible for maintaining parks and forest areas. Supporters say this investment will also help tackle crime by sprucing up neglected parts of the city. [WUSA9]

Where Is It?

This wonderfully colorful house is known as the tricycle house in Mount Pleasant. It was built in 1909, combining elements of Georgian Revival, Spanish Mission, and Victorian architecture. Now, it’s a small apartment building with several units. And yes, the decor inside is just as wacky and eccentric as the outside.

Cheers to readers Madeline H., Megan D., and Tess K. for being the first three to guess the location correctly!

Next up, can you tell me where this garden path is located? No hints, but you do get bonus points if you can tell me any fun stories or histories of the place. And by bonus points I mean a respectful nod when I read your reply.
