🫵 DC employees forced back to office

January 11, 2024

Morning, neighbor! From Friday through Monday, the Rosslyn and Court House metro stations will be closed. So, there will be NO Metro service between Foggy Bottom and Arlington Cemetery on the Blue Line; and between Foggy Bottom and Clarendon on the Orange and Silver lines. Plan accordingly!

What's CITY Talking About?

District Employees Forced Back to the Office

Starting March 10, the District government will be shifting from two telework days per week to one. Mayor Muriel Bowser has been pushing for more in-person working as a way to support local businesses and reinvigorate downtown. [NBC4]

DC Council’s Cannabis Crackdown

Delayed Sentencing Commission Vote

After a tiff with D.C.’s top prosecutor, D.C. Council delayed its vote on whether to admit a controversial nominee to the city’s sentencing commission. Nominee Joel Castón spent 27 years in prison for murder. Some, including the council chairman, believe Caston’s perspective is valuable for the panel, which drafts and modifies sentencing guidelines, but the U.S. attorney general disagrees.
