Hey, neighbor! I jumped the gun and accidentally sent this email yesterday, but hey, in my humble opinion, it might just be good enough to read twice 😉

What's CITY Talking About?
Virginia Primary Results Rundown
- Eugene Vindman, a key figure at Trump’s first impeachment, won the hotly contested Democratic primary in Virginia’s 7th Congressional District. He will face off against Derrick Anderson in November.
- In the Republican Senate primary, retired U.S. Navy captain Hung Cao won by a landslide, besting four other candidates.
- Meanwhile, Alexandria picked a new mayor – Alyia Gaskins – who will be the city’s first Black female mayor.
- Arlington has ranked-choice voting, so final tabulation for the Member County Board, At Large race won't happen until June 22. But, for now, JD Spain remains in the lead.
- Check out the rest of the results here. [Washington Post]
A Wet, Hot, DC Summer
D.C.’s heatwave is here, and it’s tragically going to stick around for another week. Temperatures are projected to hit triple digits for the first time since 2016. If you need to cool off, cooling centers are open across the city. [Washington Post]
Dulles Is Getting a Makeover
With plans for a brand-new concourse and a fifth runway, 2026 will be a big year for the DMV’s biggest airport. In addition to new gates for passenger travel, the plans include increased cargo capacity for shipments across the whole eastern seaboard. And don’t worry, the people movers aren’t going anywhere.
