😋 Who makes DC’s best pupusa?

July 17, 2024 · 💌 Kaela

Hey, neighbor! Where are the best pupusas in D.C.? We went on a city-wide pupusa-tasting tour, overcoming lactose intolerance, Dave Thomas circle, and caffeine withdrawal to find the ultimate pupusa to rule them all.

What's CITY Talking About?

DCA To Get New Terminal 1

DCA officials are meeting today to make a plan to replace Terminal 1. The small (rather crappy) terminal is used by Southwest and other airlines. Preliminary images show that the new facility would be built east of the existing facility, with access through the original 1941 airport building. [Washington Business Journal]

Local Restaurateur Settles In Wage Theft Case

The owner of D.C. fine-dining restaurant Swahili Village must pay more than $500,000 to settle wage theft allegations. The owner was accused of pocketing tips left for workers and paying below minimum wage. [Washington Business Journal]

U Street Might Get Higher

Local officials approved a zoning change that would allow developers to build a high-rise apartment on the site of an old firehouse, despite opposition from residents. The change, expected to become final this fall, would increase the height limit in the area from 40 to 100 feet. [Washington Post]
