Body-Cam Footage Sparks Looting
Widespread looting and vandalism broke out in D.C. Monday night, according to MPD, after police released body-camera footage in which officers fatally shot a violence interrupter. The video showed police fired more than 10 shots at 26-year-old Justin Robinson at a McDonald’s in Southeast D.C. [Washington Post 🔒]
Bus Takes Two Steps Forward, One Back
WMATA’s updating its bus service. Pending board approval, select buses will run 24 hours permanently and Metro will tack on extra stops to compensate for the Circulator’s closure on some routes. The new Circulator stops will start in October. [WMATA]
