102 Animals Rescued In Animal Cruelty Case
The leaders of a Loudoun County animal rescue group pleaded guilty to animal cruelty after a months-long investigation. 70 dogs, 28 cats, two rabbits and two parakeets were seized from the now-defunct shelter after they were found malnourished and living in filthy conditions. [WTOP]
DC Eateries Among the Nation’s Best
The New York Times released its 2024 list of top 50 restaurants, and you better believe D.C. is on it. Modern Mexican restaurant Pascual and Kevin Tien’s Moon Rabbit both made it, as well as Persian spot Joon in Vienna. [NYT]

DC Ramps Up Car Towing
D.C. added a new car impound lot, increasing the city’s capacity by 30%. It will target vehicles with multiple unpaid tickets, many of which have tens of thousands in unpaid fines. [ABC7]
DC Council Wants To Soundproof DC
The city is considering legislation that would set soundproofing requirements for new homes built in mixed-use areas or near entertainment venues. Opponents worry it will scare away developers. [Fox5]
