Happy Election Day!

The outcome of today’s national election is going to deeply affect D.C., perhaps more than any other city in the country. So, if you care about your city, your neighbors, please go vote today. We’ve got a local election guide that makes it easy-peasy.

A few housekeeping items:

  • 🗳️ If you already voted, you can check if your ballot was counted here. If you’re worried it hasn’t, talk to an election official at the polls today.
  • 🚘 To get to the polls, Lime is offering free 30-minute rides to and from polling places. Plus, Uber and Lyft are offering 50% rides to polling stations.
  • 👍 Lastly, don't forget to hold on to your “I Voted” sticker to cash in on the election day freebies below!

Moon Rabbit chef Kevin Tien is planning to open an upscale Asian market near Capital One Arena. Plans for the market include an Asian grocery store, prepared foods section, food stalls, and an Asian bakery. Tien is still waiting on grants before finalizing the timeline. [Axios]

A bunch of roads near Howard University are closed today for Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign election night watch party, including part of Georgia Ave. [DDOT]
