Tampons Spark George Mason Lawsuit
Two law students at George Mason University sued the school for violating their free speech after ordering them to have no contact with a student who proposed stocking all restrooms with tampons. The students argue that the tampons would “allow biological females into male restrooms” and vice versa, which they feel would violate student safety and privacy. [WTOP]
McClain Claims Seat In House
April McClain Delaney (D) is projected to win Maryland’s 6th Congressional District. The competitive race was the last to be called in the Washington region and rounds out a local delegation that heavily favors Democrats. However, the balance of power in the House remains unclear. Better Busses Are Coming
Metro released its final Better Bus Network redesign map after a contentious public comment period. The plan changes some bus routes, introduces more electric buses, and improves bus shelters. Metro’s board has to give it final approval this week before the plan can go into effect next summer. [WMATA]
