Hey, neighbor! Political Patties, the highly contentious politics-themed bar on U Street NW, shut down just 75 days after opening, blaming online outrage as a driving factor. Needless to say, they did not end up putting the 'lit' back in politics.

DC Sues Amazon
Attorney General Brian Schwalb is suing Amazon for allegedly discriminatory practices after the tech giant excluded Prime members in Anacostia from getting expedited deliveries, and never notified them. Amazon says it uses UPS and USPS in zip codes 20019 and 20020 because of robberies targeting Amazon trucks. [City Cast DC 🎧]
Teen Girl Sentenced for Killing 64-Year-Old
A 13-year-old girl has been handed the maximum possible sentence for stomping an elderly disabled man to death alongside other teenage girls last year. She will be in juvenile detention until she is 21 years old. [Washington Post 🔒]

Bus Fare Enforcement Begins
WMATA has started stationing transit police at certain bus stops to ticket fare evaders. Metro says more than 70% of riders don’t pay bus fare, costing WMATA $40-$50 million per year. Police have written up at least 170 citations and arrested eight evaders. [NBC4]
