What's CITY Talking About?

Metro Goes Automatic

Metro is switching back to an automated system for the first time in 15 years. Trains will be spaced and timed using a computer rather than human operation, decreasing train times and saving Metro an estimated $7 million a year. The switch could begin with the Red Line as soon as this Sunday. [Washington Post 🔒]

Co-Living Coming To CoHi

A Belgian co-living developer opened a new property in Columbia Heights and has five more on the way. The building has seven “units,” each with several bedrooms and a shared community space. Bedrooms, ranging from 74 to 160 square feet, rent between $1,650 and $2,000 a month. [Washington Business Journal 🔒]

Ward 8 Healthy Living Center Opens
