😱 Here’s what Cap One Arena will look like

Hey, neighbor! Starting today, there are major station closures on the Blue, Orange, and Silver lines. Farragut West, McPherson Square, and Metro Center will be closed, followed by Federal Triangle, Smithsonian, and the lower level of L'Enfant later next week. All will reopen on Dec. 31.

DC Culture Clashes Ahead of Inauguration
A manager at Beuchert’s Saloon in Capitol Hill was fired after saying she’d refuse to serve politicians she morally opposes. School Fight Leaves Staff and Students Injured
Alexandria City High School canceled in-person classes for two days after multiple fights broke out on Tuesday, leaving students and staff injured. [WTOP]
New Cap One Underway
The city broke ground yesterday morning on the new Capital One Arena, following the approval of the Downtown Arena Revitalization Act earlier this week. Construction will take three years. Updates include a new facade, concession stand upgrades, and new VIP lounges. [Axios]
