DC Pedestrian Deaths Double in a Decade
For a third year in a row, D.C. has recorded over 100 traffic deaths, despite city leaders’ efforts to create safer streets. D.C. has started suing out-of-state-drivers who have unpaid traffic fines in D.C. in hopes to bring this number down. Most recently, the city is suing three Maryland drivers who owe over $95,000 in unpaid tickets. [Washington Post 🔒]

Grammy award winner and former D.C. teacher Roberta Flack died yesterday at age 88. She was famous for her No. 1 hits “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” and “Killing Me Softly With His Song.” [Washington Post 🔒]
Musk Sued For Email Threat
A group of federal workers are suing Elon Musk for his email to federal workers demanding they explain their accomplishments or risk being fired. The suit claims the request is illegal and a “massive employment fraud.” Several major agencies have told employees not to comply. [AP]
