Federal Layoffs Are Changing DC’s Restaurant Scene
Laid-off federal workers are rushing to find new jobs, and a lot of them could end up working in D.C.’s restaurants. But despite the uptick in back-to-office culture, the hospitality industry might not be the stablest place to land, unless you’re working happy hour, that is. [City Cast DC 🎧]

Sledgehammer Burglars Arrested
Police arrested two people related to the widespread sledgehammer burglaries. The 16-year-old and a 19-year-old are part of a group responsible for over 20 burglaries between Georgetown and Tenleytown on Dec 2. They struck again last week, targeting businesses in Shaw, Eckington, and Downtown. [Washington Post 🔒]
