Trump demands federal agencies leave DC
February 27, 2025 · — Kaela
Hey, neighbor! What’s the most “D.C.” thing someone can do? Being late because of a motorcade? Hardlaunching on Politico Playbook? Getting mad at slow tourists? We’ve all done ‘em, don’t lie.
If you’re looking for some less stereotypical D.C. activities this month, we’ve got some ideas below 👇

What's CITY Talking About?
Trump Directs Federal Agencies To Move Out of DC
Federal agencies have until mid-April to submit proposals on how they will relocate outside the DMV, according to the Trump administration's most recent memo. The directive, meant to eliminate "waste" and "bloat," says agencies should plan to move to a less costly part of the country. The move could have potentially devastating impacts on D.C.'s economy, where nearly 25% of jobs are federal.

New Air Traffic Rules Cause Delays at DCA
Stricter air traffic rules imposed after the deadly mid-air collision at DCA mean flights are disrupted every time President Trump boards Marine One. When he left on a trip to Florida on Feb. 14, almost 30 planes bound for DCA were kept circling in the sky. [Washington Post 🔒]

Real Housewives Star Sentenced For DUI
“Real Housewives of Potomac” TV personality Karen Huger got a year of jail time for drunk driving. The 61-year-old star crashed her Maserati in Maryland last year. The crash was even featured on the show itself. [Washington Post 🔒]
Metro Ridership Marks 5-Year High
Metro ridership is booming as more and more federal workers return to the office. This week has seen some of the system’s busiest days since before the pandemic and service increases on several lines are in the works for summer. [NBC4]
