PG County Considers Stimulus Bill
Prince George’s County is considering giving one-time $1,000 stimulus checks to laid-off federal workers. The bill would also defer property taxes and expand access to food banks and grocery voucher programs. [ABC7]
Restaurant Association Wants I-82 Freeze
The Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington is calling on the city to repeal Initiative 82. The controversial law, passed three years ago, eliminates the tipped minimum wage, but some say it’s killing the restaurant industry. [Axios]
Metro Hits 1 Million
Metro hit one million trips on Thursday, making it the highest ridership day in five years. It also happened to be on Metro’s 49th birthday. [@wmata/X]
