Hey, neighbor! Last week, the DMV made hockey history. And no, I don’t mean Ovechkin’s 895th goal. Linda Sinrod, the Guinness World Record Holder for the oldest female hockey player, retired. After 50 years on the ice, she played her final game at age 84. Even Ovechkin had to come out to congratulate her 🎉

Bowser Starts DC Hiring Freeze, Anticipates Furloughs
D.C. is halting all government hiring and pay raises in response to the House cutting the city budget by $1B and failing to pass a fix. Using a 2009 law, Bowser is reducing the budget gap to only $410M, but she still anticipates furloughs and the closure of some city facilities. New Federal Ruling About Wrongfully Deported Local
A federal judge is making the Trump administration provide details about its attempts to bring back Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Prince George's resident the government wrongfully deported to El Salvador last month. Discovery is expected to take two weeks. [Washington Post 🔒]
Activists Propose City Vote On RFK Stadium
