Smithsonian Defends Artifact Removal
The National Museum of African American History and Culture is denying allegations that it’s removing artifacts due to Trump's recent executive order to purge "improper ideology" from the Smithsonian. They say that such removals are standard under loan agreements. [Axios]
DC Takes VA & MD Drivers To Court
D.C.’s Attorney General Brian L. Schwalb filed five lawsuits against drivers in Virginia and Maryland accused of not paying fines for traffic violations. One driver owes $187,200 for 344 traffic citations over the last two years. [D.C. Attorney General’s Office]
Metro Considers Second Foggy Bottom Entrance
WMATA is revisiting plans to construct a second entrance at the Foggy Bottom-GWU Metro station at 22nd and I street NW. The plan was first considered in 2007, and is now back on the table due to increased ridership. [GW Hatchet]
