More than 154,000 federal employees have accepted offers through the Trump administration’s deferred resignation program in June to be paid through Sept. 30 and then voluntarily resign. The National Transportation Safety Board on Wednesday questioned witnesses over how the actions of air traffic controllers and Army officials may have contributed to the midair collision between an American Airlines flight and Black Hawk helicopter in January that killed 67 people. [CBS]
Falls Church Homes Face Highest Flooding Risk
About 14% of homes in Falls Church are at severe flood risk, according to Zillow’s climate risk scores. D.C. follows at 7.5%. The DMV faces increased flood risks this summer, as the National weather Service has issued the most flash flood warnings in more than 20 years. [Axios]
