Alright neighbors, it’s been a long week, no doubt. But this weekend (like every weekend) D.C. has some great community events going on, so let’s come together and enjoy our beautiful city!

What's CITY Talking About?

Your DC Love Letters

Thank you all for your overwhelming response to yesterday’s segment on why I love D.C.! Your words and solidarity had me tearing up at my inbox all afternoon 😪

Here are just a few of the reasons you shared about why YOU love this city.

“I love random things like live jazz at Marx Cafe, the Moth Story Slam, Washington Spirit games, the White House lit up in pride colors when the Supreme Court ruled that love is love and watching people dance in the streets!” — Jen

“The people. I lived in MD for 18 years and no one ever talked to me on my walks. In D.C. we all say hello!” — Lauren D.

“The cultural life can't be beat. The museums, the bookstores, poetry readings, cherry blossom festival, free library events, variety of coffee shops, human rights organizations, beautiful parks, the natives, outside movies, free pools! — Diana M.

“I love how I never get bored because there's always a fun event to check out, a social sports league to join, museums to explore, parks to hang out in, farmers markets to browse, amazing restaurants, and more!” — Lauren R.
