Green Light For RFK Stadium

D.C. council approved the $3.7B deal to develop RFK stadium, concluding a years long political saga over the site's future. Despite several last-second amendments, the deal was approved 11-2. D.C. will contribute $1B towards the site which will include a new stadium, 5,000+ housing units, hotels, and entertainment. [WTOP]

DC Council Eases Covid Shot Restrictions

The council also voted yesterday to make it easier to get the newest Covid vaccine. The bill allows residents 65 and older and those with other risk factors to get it without a prescription. [Washington Post 🔒]

House Passes 4 DC Crime Bills

The House passed four D.C. crime bills Tuesday and Wednesday as part of President Trump’s crime crack down. Two focus on creating stricter juvenile crime policies. Another would let Trump to directly nominate judges for D.C. courts. And the last would allow high-speed police chases. All four still need to pass in the Senate. [AP/The Hill]
