December 2, 2025 · 💌 Kaela
Hey, D.C. I know there are still a lot of questions surrounding last week’s attack on two National Guard members. Will we have more National Guard in D.C.? How will local law enforcement collaborate? Today on the City Cast DC podcast, we’re talking with The Washington Post’s Olivia George about everything we know and what to expect.

Her platform revolves around public safety and economic issues like the cost of housing and child care. [Washington Post 🔒]

Washington Improv Finds a Home
After 10 years of moving around, Washington Improv Theater has finally found a permanent home at a 10,700-square-foot space in NoMa. The new center is slated to open in 2027 with seven classrooms, a theater, and a small cafe/bar. [Washington City Paper]
Potential School Delays Today
The Capital Weather Gang is forecasting slick roads and wintery conditions this morning in Loudoun, Fauquier, Carroll, and Frederick counties. They warn that some schools may have delayed starts, so be sure to check! [Washington Post 🔒]
Council Considers Postponing Ranked Choice Voting
The D.C. Council may delay implementing ranked choice voting, with some, like Ward 7 Councilmember Wendell Felder, worried the city won’t be ready in time.
