Happy St. Paddy’s Day! Nice weather is around the corner (right?!!), so this spring we're headed to one of D.C.’s most underrated weekend getaways: Delaware. Hear us out! From beaches to cutesy B&Bs, travel writer Tim Ebner shares the best Delaware trips under $150.

What's CITY Talking About
10 Park Police Involved In ICE Arrests
Court records pulled by the Washington Post show that U.S. Park Police were involved in at least 10 immigrant arrests by ICE. Advocates say that Park Police are using public safety laws as a pretext to make immigration arrests and that these documents only show a fraction of such cases. [Washington Post 🔒]
Renters Could Soon Host Airbnbs
Mayor Bowser proposed a new bill that would expand who can host Airbnbs and other short-term rentals in D.C. — including renters and owners with a second property. The hope is to give tourists more lodging options during big events and compete with cheaper rentals in the suburbs. [Axios]
Mayor’s Race Funding Deep Dive
Fundraising among D.C.’s two top mayoral candidates is neck-and-neck — with Kenyan McDuffie raising $1.5 million to Janeese Lewis George’s $1.6 million. Lewis George pulls more funding from labor unions and D.C. donors, while McDuffie is getting a boost from business leaders and developers. [Washington Post 🔒]

Arlington Extends Ranked Choice Voting
Arlington will continue to use ranked-choice voting through at least 2027, extending the two-year pilot program in place in 2024. County Board members unanimously voted for the extension after advocates’ requests to make the switch permanent. [ARLnow]
