Metro Hair Toucher Arrested For Stalking
A pardoned Capitol rioter who was arrested twice last month for livesteaming himself touching women's hair on the Metro has been arrested again, this time for stalking. Bryan Betancur allegedly Nazi saluted a woman at an event and attempted to have her removed after stalking her for months online. Prosecutors requested that Betancur be held in jail. [WUSA9]
Metro Considers New Fare Machines
Metro wants to use $93 million to replace its fare machines. The new machines will have screens that can plan trips, provide alerts, and buy and load SmarTrip cards. The transit agency’s board will vote on it as early as today. [ABC7]
Ovechkin Retirement Rumors Have Game Prices Soaring
Capitals ticket prices are soaring ahead of Sunday’s game, with rumors swirling that it might be D.C. icon Alex Ovechkin’s final home appearance. Even nosebleeds are starting at above $220. Ovechkin says he has not decided whether to renew his expiring contract. [Axios]
New SE Medical Center Under Scrutiny
Cedar Hill Medical Center, which opened in Southeast last April, is coming under scrutiny after delayed care contributed to a patient death during surgery. Investigators' findings have added to existing concerns raised by the D.C. Department of Health in March, which claimed the center had dangerous levels of non-compliance. [DC News Now]
